1. Books

My current monograph project is Writing after Devolution: Eight Poets In and Out of Wales. This volume is concerned with the work of eight Wales-connected poets, writing in the English language, who have established themselves in the post-1997 period. This study emerges from my research for the Leverhulme Trust-funded research project 'Devolved Voices: Welsh Poetry in English since 1997' which ran in Aberystwyth University's Department of English & Creative Writing.

2. Editing

As a follow-up to my edited volume Wired to the Dynamo: Poetry and Prose in Honour of John Barnie (Cinnamon, 2018), I'm delighted to have been contracted to produce a volume along the same lines responding to the work of the Welsh poet Ruth Bidgood. Alongside this, I continue to lead the editorial team of the University of Wales Press International Journal of Welsh Writing in English.
I am also in the early planning stages of edited volumes on: Wales Studies; contemporary British and Irish poetry; and the work of a leading scholar in the field of Welsh writing in English.

3. Essays

Much of my work in recent years has been focused on book-length material or journal editing. However, I am delighted to have written an essay called 'In and out of the nation: Poetry Wales in the 1960s and 1970s' for the Cambridge University Press volume British Literature in Transition, 1960-1980, edited by Kate McLoughlin (Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford). This will be published in 2018.
